A year ago, Panic! At The Disco were celebrating their first ever No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot Rock chart when "High Hopes" climbed to the top. Now, the band is still reveling in its successes. In fact, it never had to stop, because it's been sitting pretty in the top slot for 365 days.
As Rock Sound reports, P!ATD has secured the No. 1 spot on that specific chart for a full 12 months. Though "High Hopes" has not reigned supreme this whole time, the only song to dethrone it was the band's newer single "Hey Look Ma I Made It." Overall, "High Hopes" has been on the chart for a whopping 75 weeks, with 41 of those in the top spot. Additionally, "Hey Look Ma I Made It" has charted for 56 weeks.
Aside from its astonishing chart stamina, "High Hopes" was certified Platinum by the RIAA (which means it's sold at least a million units, NBD), hit No. 1 across three different radio formats, peaked higher than any of the band's other singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (yes, including "I Write Sins Not Tragedies") and was the longest leading No. 1 single on the Adult Pop Songs radio airplay chart this decade.
