Demi Lovato To Perform New Song 'Anyone' At 2020 Grammys

Demi Lovato will debut her new song “Anyone” at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

During Friday’s (January 24) exclusive cover story, Good Morning America announced the musician will debut the song in her first live performance in two years at the annual awards ceremony on January 26. In the interview, Lovato revealed she recorded “Anyone” just days before her near-fatal overdose in July 2018.

“I was recording it in a state of mind where I felt like I was okay, but clearly I wasn’t,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” musician tells radio DJ Zane Lowe in a clip from their candid interview. “And I even listen back to it and I’m like, gosh I wish I could go back in time and help that version of myself.”

Fans will recall, the 27-year-old was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on July 24, 2018, after being treated with a life-saving dose of Narcan due to her overdosing on fentanyl-laced Oxycodone. After months of rehabilitation and treatment, it was revealed the former Disney star had reached 90 days of sobriety in October 2018.

Lovato, who has remained clear and sober for more than a year now, says the deadly experience has changed her outlook on life completely. “My success does not measure my happiness,” she expressed. “So when I think about what makes me happy today, I think about my family. I think about my friends.”

After her Grammys performance this weekend, Lovato will perform the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV on February 2.
