On Tuesday (February 4), Hayley Williams hopped the pond to the UK to give her debut performance of her first solo single, “Simmer,” and she did not disappoint.
Just two weeks after releasing the song, the Paramore singer gave a passionate performance of the song in the Live Lounge that'll give any fan chills. This marks the first time in two years since she'd been back in the Live Lounge space since performing “Hard Times” with Paramore.
Williams sings the lyrics with conviction and raw power that makes you want to "have a word” with anyone who dared to ever hurt here.
In addition to her incredible live debut of “Simmer,” Williams transformed Dua Lipa's disco dance track “Don't Start Now” into a soulful dreamy and moving cover that has fans freaking out in the comments section. “Once Hayley covers a song, I immediately forget it's not her own jeez. WE STAN A LEGEND,” one fan wrote. “I love this song especially with her voice omg tho,” another fan said.

The 31-year-old took to Twitter to briefly talk about the songs writing, “I'm really proud of those performances.”
Last week, Williams gave fans the second taste of her solo album, Petals For Armor, with the song “Leave It Alone.” She released the track and the avant garde video together and fans are already begging for more!
Petals For Armor drops May 8.
While any touring news hasn't been announced, hearing “Simmer” live for the first time is making everyone pray for dates!
