If you're a Hayley Williams fan, you're probably feeling a bit of whiplash today (February 6), because she just dropped a ton of new things!
To start, the 31-year-old revealed the album artwork to her solo debut, Petals For Armor, which drops May 8.
On The cover, a bare-faced Williams has black squares on her face and hand that look to be in the shape of a question mark. Dedicated fans will know that the squares on her fingers are what Williams previously got tattooed to cover the tattooed initials of her ex-husband, New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert. The number could also reflect how many songs we're getting on Petals For Armor. Let's just say there is already so much symbolism in the photo!
If the album cover wasn't enough, the multi-talented artist also revealed to fans that she has released THREE NEW SONGS — “Cinnamon,” “Creepin',” and “Sudden Desire”!
The new songs join "Simmer” and "Leave It Alone” as part of a five-song collection called Petals For Armor I completing the first theme of the album.
“Part 1 of my album is out today. I thought it best to start the journey this way. 5 songs, some real heavy themes... let’s get this carthasis [stet] today, people,” she explained on Twitter.
But she wasn't done there. She also debuted the video for “Cinnamon” and it completes the story from the videos for "Simmer” and "Leave It Alone.” In the video, Williams tames her inner demons and ngl, the dance scene in Risky Business has NOTHING on her living room demon dance.
Longtime fans may even notice a nod to Paramore's Brand New Eyes with the empty picture frames throughout the new video.
Watch it above!
