Pearl Jam Gets Animated For New Video 'Superblood Wolfmoon'

On Wednesday (February 19), Pearl Jam released the video for its new song “Superblood Wolfmoon.”
Unlike a traditional video, Pearl Jam got animated for this one. Hand-drawn by Tiny Concert creator Keith Ross, Eddie Vedder and the gang turned into black-and-white animations for the video and the likeness is uncanny.
Ross is known for his short Instagram videos where he draws animations to go with classic punk songs. In the past, he's done the Ramones’ “Beat On The Brat,” Black Flag's “Nervous Breakdown” and more. “Superblood Wolfmoon” is the first full-length video the artist has created and we're impressed!
On his Instagram, Ross even gave Pearl Jam fans a behind-the-scenes look at how he drew the band members for the music video.
The band first teased the new song last week with an AR experience that played a clip of the song when fans' phones were pointed at the moon when using the band's app.
“Superblood Wolfmoon” is the second offering from Pearl Jam's upcoming 11th album, Gigaton, which will be released March 27. Previously, the band dropped three music videos for its first single, “Dance Of The Clairvoyants.”
The band will head out on a North American tour in support of the new album. See the dates below.
