Justin Bieber’s upcoming stadium tour is the latest to be impacted by the coronavirus.

According to TMZ, the “Changes” singer-songwriter is reportedly cutting away from his initial summer stadium tour plans in lieu of several “secondary markets” at local arenas. The change comes in the wake of the deadly virus, which continues to spread throughout the nation. Rising concerns regarding the disease supposedly prompted the star to cancel and relocate a number of stadium stops on Friday (March 6), including those in Nashville, Columbus, Detroit, Arlington, and Cleveland.

What’s more, the celebrity gossip outlet indicates that, before coronavirus fears really started to spread, ticket sales for Bieber’s “Changes” tour had gone through the roof.

Additionally, insiders close to Bieber say the relocation decision was made to ensure the “Yummy” superstar could fill seats. Not only that, it’s likely, given the recent change, that the 26-year-old will also perform multiple shows in the same arena.

Bieber isn’t the only one taking precautions due to the coronavirus outbreak — several major music events have also felt the impact of the disease. Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, originally launching on March 20-22, was canceled this week. The city of Austin also canceled March dates for South by Southwest (SXSW) for the first time in 34 years amid coronavirus fears. Per the New York Times, there have been more than 300 confirmed infections and 17 reported deaths due to the outbreak.

As yet, the first show of Bieber’s “Changes” trek is still scheduled for CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, on May 14. Tickets to the tour are available now.
