Zac Brown Band Postpone Spring Tour Dates Due To Coronavirus Concerns

Zac Brown Band has announced they will be postponing the spring leg of "The Owl Tour" due to increasing coronavirus concerns. Delayed tour dates include all shows through April 25 in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Out of caution and due to increasing public health concerns, Zac Brown Band is postponing the spring 2020 leg of "The Owl Tour." This was an extremely difficult decision but the well-being of our fans is always our top priority," the band wrote on Instagram.

The band goes on to explain that all cancelled shows will be rescheduled for a later time which will be announced soon. Ticket holders are encouraged to keep their passes as all tickets for postponed shows will be honored.

At this time, Zac Brown Band's "Roar With The Lions Tour" will go on as planned. The 2020 summer tour is set to launch on May 24-25 with two back-to-back shows in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Zac Brown Band's tour adjustment makes them the first country group to cancel shows within the United States due to the spread of COVID-19. Old Dominion recently released announced their decision to cancel several international shows in Berlin, Amsterdam, Dublin, London and Glasgow due to the spread of the virus.

Coronavirus has also caused major festivals around the nation to be cancelled as well. The latest festivals to be postponed are the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Festival. Organizers of the event announced the festival will be delayed until October.

So far, health officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed more than 600 cases of the coronavirus in the United States and 25 deaths. Globally, the virus has infected more than 113,000 people and killed more than 4,000 according to the World Health Organization.
