So Awkward: '90 Day Fiancé' Couple Meet For First Time & It's Uncomfortable

If you aren't familiar with the hit TLC series 90 Day Fiancé, it's about couples who have a K-1 visa, which gives foreign fiancées of American citizens 90 days to arrange their wedding and get married. To get the paperwork, they both have to sign a document promising to wed the other. As you can imagine, it sometimes leads to challenging situations and on this week's episode, fans got to watch one unfold in front of their eyes.

It happened when Ed Brown, known as "Big Ed," flew to the Philippines to meet his fiancée, Rosemarie, who he wasn't exactly honest with during their online courtship. He had told her he was 5'2" but he is actually 4'11", which caused Rose to be a little surprised when they met in person for the first time.

Ed explained that he didn't think he would have had a chance with Rose if he was honest about his height. It doesn't seem to deter her too much but what she doesn't yet know is that he also lied to her about having kids. She wants them and he is so against it that he is ready for a vasectomy.

Ed, who hasn't dated anyone in nearly 30 years before Rose, spoke about his dishonesty to Entertainment Tonight, explaining, "So, I wasn’t completely honest with Rose about [my height] and a couple of other things. It’s never a good idea to lie. You have to be honest and I'm learning that even if you have strong feelings for someone, it's better to get it out in the open. If not, it's gonna come back and bite you."

In the episode, Ed also questions if Rose loves him as much as he loves her, citing how he already spent $5,000 on her and then her sister started asking him for money.
