Beyoncé's always a good idea!

As the world continues to adjust to our new normal amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, those of us social distancing, well a select group of us, are preparing for a night of fun, bootylicious-ness, and a whole lot of Queen Bey.

That's right, cue up your Netflix because the BeyHive is having a virtual Homecoming watch party. In a time where many of us are filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and fear, Bey's fans are choosing to come together to relive happier times, celebrating the cultural movement that gave us an intimate look at Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance. And it's all thanks to Netflix’s editorial manager, Jasmyn Lawson, who came up with the bright idea earlier this week.

"Can we all watch Homecoming as a group some time this week and relive that again???" she tweeted on Monday (March 16). "Alright, let's do this thing! How's Wednesday (March 18) at 6 PM PST (9 EST)??? We can use the hashtag #HOMEcoming 😂."

To top it off, Bey herself might even join in on the fun as she retweeted Jasmyn's tweets, which basically confirms her attendance. (Not really, but here's to hoping it does!)

And for those of you who want to watch Homecoming with friends and/or family while still practicing social distancing, thanks to "Netflix Party," a browser extension, you can simultaneously watch it with your loved ones and even message them about it, via the extension, in real-time.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Download the extension (for our example we're going to use the Google Chrome extension called "Netflix Party")
  2. A person chooses a program to stream, in this, Beyonce's Homecoming.
  3. That person then sends a link to their friends (who must also have the extension), inviting them to watch the program at the same time
  4. And then it's happy viewing! You can also type messages to one another while watching

Happy Homecoming! See you all on Netflix at 9 p.m. ET!
