Dolly Parton Shares Hilarious Poem About Being Quarantined With Family

Dolly Parton is doing what she can to bring joy to people stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

First, she started her video series, Goodnight With Dolly, where she reads books to children weekly and now she's penned a relatable and humorous poem. The country icon turned to social media to recite the hilarious poem about people going stir crazy while quarantined.

"Can you hold it down in there? I'm trying to do a video in the studio," Parton shouts at the beginning of the clip. "What? My accountant's calling? Well, tell him to kiss my assets goodby because they're dwindling to nothing."

Dressed in all black and seated in front of curtains, Parton continues on to describe how the stay-at-home orders are starting to get to people, young and old, around the country.

"This too shall pass as al things will. If the virus don't kill us, the staying home will. The kids are bored and restless. They scream and yell and squawk. And the teens and tweens, they're just plain mean. They bite your bleeping head off," she narrated. "And all those loving couples that were once so sweet and cozy? Now they fight like cats and dogs like Donald [Trump] and [Nancy] Pelosi. Lord, get us back to school and get us back to work and get us out of this God dang house before someone gets hurt! And Lord, please find a vaccination in the form of a shot or a pill. Because if the virus don't kill us, the staying home will!"
