Diddy had an interesting reaction to Lizzo twerking during his Easter Sunday celebration.

While celebrating the holiday at home in quarantine amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the hip-hop mogul kicked off a family-friendly dance-a-thon on Instagram Live to get fans in positive spirits while raising money for healthcare workers in underserved communities around the country.

Dancing alongside a few of his children, Diddy invited several celebrities to join his live session and bust their best dance moves, including Jennifer Lopez, Snoop Dogg, Naomi Campbell, and others.

Also joining in on the fun was the “Truth Hurts” superstar, who did what she does best: twerk. Though, just moments into her performance, Diddy urged the star to stop. “Ay, ay, ay. Not today. It's Sunday, let's play something more family friendly,” he pleaded playfully, to which Lizzo apologetically complied with all smiles.

But, Diddy has since replied to clarify his response, noting that it was purely because of the expletives in the music, and NOT Lizzo's twerking. Because as he said: "You are allowed to twerk on Easter," also noting that Lizzo is "one of the best twerkers in the world" (which, TRUE). Read his full statement below:

"There’s one thing I want to make clear. My queen, my sister, Lizzo. When I stopped the music, it was ’cause it had a lot of curses in there. Not ’cause she was twerking. She’s one of the best twerkers in the world, okay? So, let’s keep that clear. You are allowed to twerk on Easter,” he clarified. “There was a lot of cursing in the record and I don’t need child services knocking on my door right now. So, that’s why I stopped the record. Lizzo we love you, and everybody stop looking for the negative! Look for the positive."

Initially, before Diddy had a chance to explain, fans were quick to notice that when actress-model Draya appeared to twerk to Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up” during his live, Diddy failed to keep that same energy.

“Diddy told Lizzo this was a family friendly live when she started twerking. Now, Draya on his live. They playing back that a— up and Draya was shaking that a— and Diddy said nothing,” one user tweeted.

"Lol Diddy told Lizzo to chill with twerking but Draya got a pass," another chimed in.

Others didn't find anything inappropriate with Lizzo's dancing. "Lizzo was legit throwing that a– though I didn’t think it looked bad at all, and Lizzo has a lot of fans could have gotten a lot of donations," another tweeted in her defense.
