A group of New Jersey-based celebrities is putting on a benefit show next Wednesday night to raise money for COVID-19 relief in the Garden State.
Organized by the recently launched New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF), the Jersey 4 Jersey fundraiser will be broadcast, April 22 at 7 p.m. EST via local network television and radio stations, including Q104.3 FM New York.
"New Jersey is on the front lines of this pandemic, making it more important than ever for us to do what Jersey does best — take care of one another," NJ First Lady Tammy Murphy said in an announcement. "That's why we're asking everyone in our state to join the NJPRF and some of New Jersey's finest for some much-needed musical entertainment, levity and Jersey Pride during these unprecedented times."

NJPRF supports New Jersey organizations providing essential services and aids those on the front line of the pandemic. NJPRF exists to meet four critical challenges in the face of the COVID-19 crisis:
- Stop the spread
- Support the healthcare community,
- Provide help for the vulnerable
- Rebuild our communities.
All proceeds from Jersey 4 Jersey go directly to the NJPRF and help in the battle against the pandemic’s impact on New Jersey. For more information, or to donate, please visit NJPRF.org.
The show is being produced by Joel Gallen, who spearheaded iHeartRadio's Living Room Concert for America last month, which raised $10 million.
The U.S.'s most densely-populated state, New Jersey has the second most confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths in the country, next to New York.
The Garden State is one of several in the northeast that announced a joint regional task force Monday to determine a path towards reopening after widespread closures of non-essential businesses.
