Frank Iero is in the giving mood and has the perfect quarantine activity for you to combat boredom!

The Frank Iero And The Future Violents singer announced an incredible competition on Instagram where you can win a prop from The Future Violents' “Medicine Square Garden” video.

But this contest is going to need you to tap into your creative sides. Iero is asking fans to recreate the music video and upload entries to Instagram or Twitter.

“Recreate, parody, or just have fun in the stylings of your favorite doomed rockers. The band and I will choose our favorite submission to win a prop used in the video and maybe something else,” he wrote on Instagram.

Dear Frends, Show us what you got! Here’s your chance to recreate the ‘Medicine Square Garden’ video in true DIY fashion. In the links below we have included a print at home version of the VHS tape from the ‘Medicine Square Garden’ music video (and a color-it-in version for you artists out there) as well as the original performance footage of The Future Violents doing our thing. Use these tools to recreate, parody, or just have fun in the stylings of your favorite doomed rockers. The band and I will choose our favorite submission to win a prop used in the video and maybe something else we’ll be announcing on Thursday (😉). Make sure to tag #DIYMSG on Instagram and/or Twitter to be considered. Winners will be announced June 5th - now get out there and get weird! xofrnk Band Performance Only Video: https://unfd.lnk.to/DIYMSG Foldable VHS: https://bit.ly/UNFDistancing-12

The band provided a couple fun tools for fans to use in their videos including, “a print at home version of the VHS tape from the ‘Medicine Square Garden’ music video (and a color-it-in version for you artists out there) as well as the original performance footage of The Future Violents doing our thing.”

Entries are open until June 5 so get creating!

This isn't the first time Iero has given away something. Late last year, the My Chemical Romance guitarist donated a signed, smashed red Epiphone Dot that he broke onstage during a tour in the early 2000s.

Speaking of MCR, while the band planned on making its highly-anticipated comeback this year and tour the globe, the reunion was brought to a screeching halt in wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Luckily, Iero's bandmate, Mikey Way, has assured fans the band's tour will still happen once it's safe to do so.
