Third Eye Blind is the latest band to speak out against racism and show support for Black Lives Matter. Over the weekend, the alt-rockers shared a statement on Instagram encouraging fans to join the movement, too.

"You may have noticed we’ve been quiet for a few days in the emergence of the protests over the killing of #georgefloyd. We’ve been learning, marching, and most importantly listening to black voices. We have long affirmed #blacklivesmatter and we are inspired by this moment to do more. We hope you are too," they began their message. "We believe in dignity and safety for all people and that those assigned to protect us are accountable for ensuring it. We believe in the unhindered right to vote. We believe in the value of non violent protest. We believe all lives can’t matter until black lives matter."

"A moment becomes a movement when different communities join together," they added. "We encourage the diverse members of our 3EB community to mask up, show up, and most importantly vote. Here’s a moment in history where we can do better. Let’s take it."

In addition to the statement of solidarity, 3EB also revealed they donated money to Campaign Zero's 8 Can't Wait police reform initiative and listed other resources to educate fans.
