Actress Samantha Ware detailed the alleged abuse she endured from Lea Michele on the set of Glee.
Speaking about the on-set experiences she had with Michele in an interview with Variety, Ware claims the Scream Queens actress once publicly threatened to have her fired from the popular musical show in front of their peers.
"I knew from day one when I attempted to introduce myself. There was nothing gradual about it. As soon as she decided that she didn’t like me, it was very evident," she recalled of becoming acquainted with the 33-year-old.
"It was after I did my first performance, that’s when it started — the silent treatment, the stare-downs, the looks, the comments under her breath, the weird passive-aggressiveness. It all built up,” Ware continued, before opening up about a traumatic incident in which Michele allegedly threatened to contact show creator Ryan Murphy to have her fired.
"When you're shooting a scene, sometimes the camera is on you and sometimes it's not, but you still have to be in the scene. The camera wasn't on us, so it's not like we had to give a full-throttle performance, but apparently, I was goofing around when the camera wasn't on me, and she took that as me being disrespectful to her," Ware remembered.
The 28-year-old added, “She waited until the scene was over and she stopped in the middle of the stage and did a 'come here' gesture, like how a mother does to their child.” It was when Ware refused that the “Cannonball” singer threatened to call Murphy.
Ware also recalled that when she did speak up about the incident, no one did anything, noting, “They just shrugged it off, like ‘That’s her.’” Michele also allegedly told her to “shut her mouth” about the incident, and supposedly told Ware “she didn’t deserve” to be on the show.
"It's scary. For the full week, I was thinking I'm probably going to get an email and I might not be able to do the last three episodes, or I might not be able to sing another song," she told the outlet.
Ware’s comments come weeks after she first broke her silence about Michele's mean girl ways, inspiring several other stars to do the same. Since the backlash, Michele, who is pregnant with her first child, released a statement of apology and is supposedly hoping to make amends with those she's hurt.
