Zac Brown Band's new single, "The Man Who Loves You The Most" is a sweet tribute from a father to his daughter. Lead singer, Zac Brown, debuted the song in May during a virtual wedding on John Krasinski's Some Good News YouTube show.
The track, officially released on Friday (June 12), was co-written during quarantine by Brown alongside Ben Simonetti and Adam James. Inspiration for the song came from his experience raising his four daughters.
"Since we can't tour, this is the first time in years I've been able to spend an extended period of time at home with my kids," Brown shared with People. "I'm blessed with four incredible daughters, [and] this song is a constant reminder that their dad loves them unconditionally."
"I hope you see the seven wonders / I hope you sail the seven seas / I hope you let the whole world in your heart / But you still got room for me / I hope you find a guy that treats you right / On your wedding night I’ll raise a toast / I hope he understands I’ll always be the man that loves you the most," Brown sings in the chorus.
Zac Brown Band canceled all their 2020 tour dates due to the coronavirus. In the meantime, Brown has been staying busy writing music and spending quality time with his family.
"We miss connecting with everyone out on the road, but we are lucky to be able to create and share new music in the meantime and hope our fans enjoy this beautiful reminder of the importance of family," he says.
Last month, Brown opened up about his time at home with his kids, Justice, 13, Lucy, 12, Georgia, 10, Joni, 9, and Alexander, 6. He shares the five children with his ex-wife, Shelly.
