The Revivalists are the latest band to test out the concept of a drive-in concert. On Tuesday (June 23), the New Orleans-based folk rockers announced a socially distanced local show at Lakefront Arena via Instagram.
"We. Are. Back. Join us at the drive-in on July 24th for our first live show in months, right in our hometown of New Orleans!" they wrote. "No doubt this will be a special show. We encourage everyone who’s planning on attending to read and follow all event health and safety guidelines. Let’s parrrrrty (safely😘)"
Tickets will be sold per car in general admission and VIP tiers, and each vehicle will have space to tailgate (at a safe distance) so fans can bring blankets, food, and beverages to the show.
The band also recently launched special face coverings that don their heart logo through a partnership with SewDat. For every mask purchased, one is donated to the nonprofit and given to essential workers.
The Revivalists' Drive-In concert is set to take place at New Orleans' Lakefront Arena on July 24, and tickets go on sale Thursday (June 25). See their show and mask announcements below, and get ticket info here.
Drive-In concerts are looking to be all the rage this summer. Third Eye Blind recently announced one in Ventura, California, and Andrew McMahon is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Everything in Transit with two socially distanced shows in Orange County, California.
