Miranda Lambert Shares Update On Kitten Her Husband Brendan Helped Rescue

Miranda Lambert is giving fans an update on the adorable kitten she and her husband Brendan McLoughlin rescued last month in Texas.

On Tuesday (July 14), Lambert shared two videos on Instagram of the tiny kitten they named Tequila. The first clip shows the kitten sweetly waking up in the morning and stretching a little bit, while the second video shows a more lively energetic side.

"Tequila Sunrise. šŸ˜»," Lambert wrote in the caption. "CutešŸ‘‰vicious (Delta Dawn is pretending not to notice his existence.)"

Lambert first introduced Tequila to fans on June 28 with an Instagram photo of herself holding the kitten. In the caption, the "Bluebird" singer explained how she and McLoughlin stumbled upon the stray kitten.

"Two lane highway in Texas, speed limit 70. Brendan slows down and does a U-turn," Lambert writes, as she recalled asking her husband, "Why are you turning around?"

"Thereā€™s a kitten in the road and I knew you would kill me if I saw it and didnā€™t stop," Brendan told her. "Well I guess the rescue ways are rubbing off on him. šŸ‘šŸ‘," Lambert added before going on to share a few more details about their road trip home.

"We stopped at mom and dads on the way home," she writes. "Dad has a new bestie. This kitten rode 9 hours back to Nashville with us and 3 dogs and was such a champ. He is 4-5 weeks old and weighs 14 Ounces. šŸ’™šŸ˜». Yā€™all welcome Tequila the kitten to the family!"

Tequila's rescue came at the end of one of many road trips the couple has planned for the year. In May, Lambert and McLoughlin revealed their plans to travel across the country in their new 2020 Airstream Globetrotter.

"Just because I canā€™t travel and play shows doesnā€™t mean I canā€™t travel and make music," she said at the time. Fans can stay up to date on Lambert's exciting adventures on the road with her husband on her Instagram page.

Sunday thoughts. When people ask me questions about all the traveling Iā€™ve done , my answer is pretty much the same every time. ā€œ Iā€™ve been everywhere but I havenā€™t seen much of anything. ā€œ Iā€™ve been touring for 19 years and most times we just roll in , play our show , and roll to the next town. Iā€™ve only gotten to spend some real time in a few of the places Iā€™ve been. After spending these last few months at home ( a much needed break and time to nestā¤ļø) I realized something. Just because I canā€™t travel and play shows doesnā€™t mean I canā€™t travel and make music. I have the most amazing travel companion, my husband , and we decided to add a family member. Yā€™all Meet ā€œThe Sheriff . ā€œ A 2020 Airstream Globetrotter. ( thanks @rocketcityrv ) Iā€™ve been a vintage trailer collector for years and this is my very first new one. Iā€™m letting go of a few vintage to make room for adventure in this silver gem! I donā€™t like change but Iā€™m learning to embrace it. Until I get get back on Elvira and tour, Iā€™ll be pulling this rig all over the country. I know that seeing the world through the windshield again will bring creative vibes. #highwayvagabonds #livinlikehippies #BandMetour
