Doja Cat is the latest star to come forward and announce a coronavirus diagnosis.
On Friday (July 24), the rapper, 24, joined Yinka & Shayna Marie on Capital XTRA to catch up on new music. However, the conversation pivoted shortly when the rapper made the revelation about her health during the U.K. broadcast. "I got COVID. Honestly, I don’t know how this happens but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates," she said with a laugh during the interview, before trailing off. "I don’t know how I got it but I got it."
Previously, the rapper had admitted that she wasn't "scared" of the respiratory virus. That said, the star has had a smooth recovery from the illness. “I’m okay now. It was a four day symptom freak out but I'm fine now,” she added.
Sans the COVID-19 incident, the backlash towards the chart-topper has kept mostly strong since her accusations of racism. Just last month, Doja was trolled on Twitter for returning to the social media platform and bit the bait when she started replying to users who weren’t feeling her comeback.
