A year ago today (July 29), YUNGBLUD released his anthem to all misfits – "Hope For The Underrated Youth" — and the rising rockstar celebrated its birthday with an uplifting message to fans via Instagram.
"happy one year to h4tuy," YUNGBLUD wrote alongside a video of him standing in the middle of a sea of fans, singing the song at the top of their lungs. "this is the song that best represents our community. a community of inclusion, of equality, a f**k load of energy and most of all a community of celebration."
"celebrate each other for exactly who we are," he continued. "we built a place to feel safe and alive in ourselves, a place where we love unconditionally. if we forget to love we are f**ked. you are absolutely everythin [sic] to me. can’t wait to sing this with you again and i can’t wait to show you what’s next.🖤"

Although YUNGBLUD is celebrating an anniversary, he's also busy showing fans his next chapter. Earlier this month, he released a punk-infused new single called "Strawberry Lipstick" and set the straightjacket from his 21st Century Liability album cover ablaze, officially ringing in a new era.
