Willie Nelson will appear on Dolly Parton's upcoming holiday album, A Holly Dolly Christmas. The two country icons, who have a history of duets together, will now team up for a remake of "Pretty Paper," a Christmas classic.
"Pretty Paper" was written by Nelson in 1963, nearly 60 years ago. In 1979, the song became the title track to his very first Christmas album, and has been a classic ever since.
The song has been reimagined several times over the years by other artists and by Nelson himself. The country legend joined Kenny Chesney in 2003 to sing the song on his All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan album.
Parton and Nelson have previously worked together on songs including "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby," "From Here To The Moon and Back," and "Everything's Beautiful (In Its Own Way)."
In addition to Nelson, Parton also has several other stars appearing on her A Holly Dolly Christmas album. Other special guests included on the new project are Miley Cyrus, Michael Bublé, Billy Ray Cyrus, Parton's brother Randy Parton, and Jimmy Fallon. A full track list can be seen below.
A Holly Dolly Christmas is due out before the holiday, on October 2.
