Frank Iero Gives A Very Important Update About His Baby Turtles Hatching

Apparently it's the summer of nurturing baby animals, and we're here for it. Last month, Portugal. The Man rescued a baby squirrel and are nursing it back to health, and now Frank Iero's playing papa to four (!!!) baby turtles.

The My Chemical Romance guitarist has been sharing updates about the hatchlings all week, and most recently revealed that the number of turtles has grown (he's also given them some pretty spectacular names).

"*Turtle Update* so interesting developments phrendz... 3 turtles have fully hatched! and another has cracked through it’s shell!! And all of them smell terrible!!!" he wrote on Instagram, while also revealing their names: Snappy Snippowicz, Stupid Dave, Charlie, and Lil Baggins (future turtle). He also shared some pictures of his smelly babies, including Lil Baggins as they attempt to break out of their shell!

Iero, of course, was not planning on spending the fall months raising baby turtles — he was supposed to be on the road with MCR —but like so many other bands, their anticipated reunion plans were squashed by the coronavirus pandemic. The band recently rescheduled its North American tour for summer 2021. In the meantime, we can't wait to see more turtle updates!
