Kelly Clarkson addressed her breakup from estranged husband Brandon Blackstock.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the American Idol winner shared her personal feelings on why she won’t divulge many details about her divorce.

“I am a very open person, but I’m not going to be able to be truly open about this in certain aspects because there’s kids involved,” Clarkson shared, referring to the couple’s two young children: 6-year-old daughter River and 4-year-old son Remington.

"I think that I will navigate a way in which to be open and honest about it eventually, probably via [The Kelly Clarkson Show], and it’ll probably, I’m assuming, happen organically when someone says something in conversation or something. It definitely wouldn’t be planned,” Clarkson continued. “But my children and his older children — there are a lot of little hearts involved in this and while people feel, ‘Oh my gosh, what a loss,’ imagine how it is in the epicenter of the storm.”

The “Since U Been Gone” star concluded, “It’s a lot to process and deal with, just as a family. So because it’s not just me, I probably won’t go too deep with it.”

The “Broken & Beautiful” songbird and the talent manager, who married in 2013, called it quits after nearly seven years of marriage on June 4, citing irreconcilable differences. The split, according to multiple reports, transpired after the couple had been quarreling with each other while quarantining at their Montana home.

In a pre-taped TV appearance, Clarkson also hinted that her forthcoming album will touch on her divorce as well.
