It's 2020, and everything is bizarre.
COVID-19's arrival has caused the entire world to hunker down, pushing some people to seek TikTok fame and others to search for toilet paper. Our entertainment outings have become "innings," and we aren't referring to baseball. We are all finding ourselves with a lot of time on our hands for home improvement projects that we didn't expect actually to tackle, and a newfound understanding of what "home is where the heart is" really means.
Then there is Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. Their smash hit "WAP" has found itself to the number one song in the world.
Randy Houser is baffled. The "Boots On" singer took to Instagram to share his thoughts, and as it turns out, he wasn't alone.
"Last year, 'Baby It's Cold Outside' was taken off the radio", says Randy in his caption. "This year, 'WAP' is the number one song. Let that sink in."
The post was liked by fellow country artists like Miranda Lambert, Josh Abbott, Jason Aldean, Mitchell Tenpenny, Meghan Patrick, and more, along with comments from many others.
'Baby, It's Cold Outside' was banned from many radio stations after being dubbed 'manipulative," "wrong," and "inappropriate" in the age of #MeToo. In comparison, Cardi B's WAP song featuring provocative language seems to be sticking around blurring some lines.
