CMT Music Awards Performers: First Round Of Artists Performing Announced

The first round of performers set to take the stage at this year's CMT Music Awards were announced on Wednesday.
This year's show will include performances by Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Maren Morris, according to CMT.com.
Each performer announced on Wednesday were also among the list of numerous artists and groups announced to receive CMT Music Award nominations last week. Six Country music acts have tied for the most nominations at this year's show.
McBryde and Dan + Shay, along with Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett each received three nominations during the award show's revealing of nominees last Wednesday.
CMT announced 14 music videos will be considered for the show's top prize, "video of the year," which will be narrowed down to five before the show airs. The fan-voted award show will broadcast on CMT Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020.
This year's CMT Awards will mark the return of The Chicks, who will be nominated for the first time since 2007 for their "Gaslighter" music video. Country legend Tanya Tucker received her first CMT Awards nomination for her video, "Bring My Flowers Down."
Both videos will be nominated for "video of the year" alongside several others including Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Old Dominion, Carrie Underwood, Blanco Brown and Little Big Town.
