Demi Lovato and Queer Eye star Tan France will celebrate National Coming Out Day with a Facebook Watch special called Coming Out 2020 on Friday (October 9).

Word of the upcoming program broke on Wednesday, revealing that the two stars will be joined by fellow LGBTQIA activities, allies and entertainers to share their own stories. More specifically, the one-hour special will feature a performance by LP and appearances by Ruby Rose, Angelica Ross, Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado, Nico Tortorella, Trixie Mattel and Tyler Oakley. National Coming Out Day occurs a few days later on Sunday and marks the anniversary of the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1987.

In addition, Instagram has partnered with PFLAG, It Gets Better Project and the Tegan and Sara Foundation to create new Instagram Guides to offer advice and tips on topics like mental health, safety and support for those going through their own coming out journey.

"Everyone in the LGBTQIA community has a different experience when it comes to their coming out journey," Rob Eric, Scout Productions’ chief creative officer, said in a statement. "It's that uniqueness that bonds us as a community, and Scout Productions is honored to work with Facebook to celebrate Coming Out Day with everyone in the community no matter where you are on your path to sharing your gender identity and sexual orientation."

Coming Out 2020 marks Lovato’s latest appearance after her whirlwind engagement to Max Ehrich ended. Since severing ties with the actor, the star has also booked a performance slot at the upcoming 2020 Billboard Music Awards.
