It looks like Greta Van Fleet is finally gearing up to enter its next era of music.

On Wednesday (October 7), the band surprised fans with a 41-second teaser video that seems to be promoting the follow-up to 2018's Anthem of the Peaceful Army.

The band captioned the cryptic video, “The end of a beginning. My Way, Soon” and also tagged a private account by the name of “mywaysoon” and judging by the avatar it looks to be a shot of the band from behind.

In the clip, which is mostly a dark screen with short flashes of effects and what looks like a night sky, a narrator said: “This is no place like any I've seen before. I'm suspended here. Time moving in all directions. Every moment an era. And every era is stardust.”

Fans, naturally, could not contain their excitement over the teaser and flooded the comments section in anticipation of what's to come.

“The noice [stet] I made while watching this was so high-pitched I’m pretty sure only dogs heard,” one fan wrote while another commented, “I need to know the meaning of this, abum [stet]?? single?? What is going on??”

Given that it's almost been two years to the date since Greta Van Fleet released an album, fans are crossing their fingers for an album announcement.

At the end of last month, the band released its full Red Rocks performance from last year's tour but have otherwise been pretty silent on the music front.

the band had plans of dropping its sophomore album this year so we are more than ready to get some new songs to listen to.
