Amazon has opened a physical store in a North Carolina mall as part of the company's plan to expand into new markets, according to WAVY. The company also has brick-and-mortar stores around the country like Amazon Books, Amazon Pop-Up, and Amazon Grocery.

The first Amazon 4-star store in the state opened on Thursday in Raleigh's Crabtree Valley Mall. Some shoppers didn't even realize Amazon was in the mall until they were walking past it.

"I didn't know it was here," said Eddie Taylor. "I was just walking through. It's got neat stuff in it."

Other customers exploring the new store remarked on how being able to physically see what they are buying impacted their shopping experience.

"Just to be able to touch and feel the product, you get a good sense of what you're buying," said Bailey Clinton.

The Crabtree Valley location will change about 80% percent of the inventory each week, according to employees at the store. Additionally, the store will have a section dedicated to items that are trending around Raleigh.

Something that sets Amazon apart from other stores in the mall is the way the advertise prices for each item. According to WAVY, the price tags are electronic and will be continually updated to keep customers informed of the best deals.

Amazon 4-star is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 12-6 p.m. Crabtree Valley Mall is located at 4325 Glenwood Avenue.
