Dan Reynolds has been keeping it light on social media this year, gifting followers the smiles we all desperately need through hilarious videos, throwback photos, dance routines, and so much more. However, as the election began to approach the Imagine Dragons frontman shifter his platform to encourage fans to vote. He even visited iHeartRadio's "Why I Vote" podcast to discuss why it's important to show up at the ballot box this year. Now that election day is here, Reynolds shared his thoughtful explanation of why he casted his vote in 2020 and what he hopes the future will bring via an Instagram post.

"just cast my vote in hopes of a brighter future," he wrote alongside a selfie sporting his "I Voted" sticker. "one filled with more understanding and love. less arguments at dinner. more acceptance for our lgbtq youth. one where black lives actually matter. I’m not expecting perfect - just better. a little more love would go a long way. and it starts with our leaders leading by example."

See Reynolds' poignant message below.

Reynolds has always been outspoken about what he believes in, and earlier this year launched a new podcast through his LoveLoud foundation called "Love Listens." The first episode was dedicated to Black Lives Matter. He also collaborated with Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello on a protest anthem called "Stand Up."
