Capping off an unusual — and ongoing — election week, Detroit police arrested the driver of a “Trump Unity Bridge.”
The car, along with its bridge decked out in flags and more in support of President Donald Trump, was also impounded on Friday (November 6).
Driver Rob Cortis was apparently riding dirty, the Detroit Metro Times reported midday Friday.
Cortis had an invalid license and returned to Detroit after police warned him not to do on Wednesday (November 4), according to the Metro Times. He had a warrant for his arrest for allegedly disturbing the police.
This week, however, was not the first time the Trump Unity Bridge has hit the streets. Eric Trump previously posted a video to Instagram showing the bridge in New York City, which the president reposted.
On Wednesday, the Associated Press and other sources called Democratic candidate Joe Biden winning Michigan.
That same day, law enforcement officials had to usher a group of Republican challengers from the TCF Center in Detroit after election officials told them the room was at capacity and they couldn’t re-enter.
The presidential race remained undetermined as of press time. The AP shows Biden at 264 electoral votes and Trump at 214 electoral votes. A candidate needs 270 to win.
