The election isn’t over, but supporters of President Donald Trump continue to gather outside the TCF Center in Detroit to demand a re-count.
The Associated Press and other sources called Democratic candidate Joe Biden winning Michigan on Wednesday (November 4).
That same day, law enforcement officers had to usher Republican challengers from the TCF Center after election officials apparently told them the ballot-counting room was at capacity and they couldn’t re-enter. Although some believed they were barred from the area because of their party affiliation, the Detroit Free Press noted that both Republicans and Democrats were kept outside the ballot counting area, challengers of both of the parties also pointed out.
Days later, Michigan’s Republican voters are still gathering and demanding to be heard.
Friday morning (November 6), the crowd chanted, waved flags and prompted roads to be blocked in the area and a high police presence, Fox 2 reported.
"It's not just myself, it's all of these people,” one person in attendance told Fox 2. “It's people all over the country that are looking at this saying just something doesn't feel right. And until somebody takes a look at that I don't think this is really going to stop.”
Many told the station they don’t believe in the integrity of this election.
Currently, the Associated Press shows Biden at 264 electoral votes and Trump at 214 electoral votes. A candidate needs at least 270 to win.
