The results are in — again.

Antrim County updated its results after the initial batch sent to the Secretary of State’s office showed “discrepancies” because of a software issue.

The Antrim County Clerk’s Office issued a statement explaining that its initial unofficial results were “incorrect and have been removed.”

Officials re-counted the ballots manually.

“The vote totals counted by the election software did not match the printed tabulator tapes, which official results are based upon,” a statement read. “Because of this, the printed tabulated tapes from each precinct will be counted manually and revised Unofficial results will be posted…Antrim County is committed to ensuring that each and very valid ballot cast is accurately counted.”

Now, results show that President Donald Trump won in Antrim County, rather than Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

Updated unofficial results show Trump won with 56% of the votes, and Biden garnered 42%, the Detroit Free Press reported Friday morning (November 6).

The Associated Press called Biden winning in Michigan on Wednesday afternoon (November 4).

As of press time, the candidates were set at 264 electoral votes (Biden) and 214 electoral votes (Trump). A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win.

On Wednesday, the AP explained why the presidential race was still too close to call, noting that the news organization “is not calling the presidential race yet because neither candidate has secured the 270 electoral college votes needed for victory.”
