Is Texas really rude?

BestLife released a list fo the rudest states in America and Texas was near the bottom.

Texas was ranked the ninth least-rude state, coming in at number 42 on the "Rudest States in America" list.

According to the website, Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio are the rudest cities in the state.

Here are other Texas rankings, according to BestLife:

  • percentage of the state that's rude: 1.1
  • percentage of rude drivers: 2.1
  • unfriendly rank: 47
  • rude customer rank: 24
  • rudeness score: 21.1

The top ten rudest states on the list, with number one being the rudest, are:

  1. New York
  2. Virginia
  3. Washington
  4. Iowa
  5. Alaska
  6. Utah
  7. Massachussets
  8. Rhode Island
  9. California
  10. Idaho

The top ten least-rude states on the list, with number one being the least rude, are:

  1. Minnesota
  2. South Carolina
  3. Louisiana
  4. Mississippi
  5. Tennessee
  6. Hawaii
  7. Colorado
  8. Vermont
  9. Texas
  10. Kentucky

To determine the list, the site combined previous rankings for rudest cities, the percentage of people who live in the cities deemed rude, the number of rude drivers based on reports by Insurify, and data from a survey of 2.5 million social media users that asked which states were unfriendly.
