Luke Combs Rocks The Stage With 'Cold As You' Performance At The CMA Awards

Luke Combs took the stage at the 2020 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (November 11) to perform his new song, "Cold As You."

The heartbreak anthem, co-written by Combs alongside Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton, is one of six new tracks on his What You See Ain't Always What You Get deluxe album, which was released in October.

"They got 'Whiskey River' on a jukebox / A honky-tonk sawdust dance floor / A neon, five o'clock, broke clock / And plenty da*n many when you want more / This broke heart fool, on an old bar stool / Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you," Combs sings on the chorus.

Combs went into the big night with a total of six nominations, making him the second-most nominated act of the evening just behind Miranda Lambert, who received seven nominations. Combs was nominated for Single Of The Year ("Beer Never Broke My Heart"), Album Of The Year (What You See Is What You Get), Song Of The Year ("Even Though I’m Leaving" and "I Hope You’re Happy Now"), Male Vocalist Of The Year, and Entertainer Of The Year. A complete list of winners for the night be seen here.

The 54th Annual CMA Awards also featured performances from Chris Stapleton, Rascal Flatts, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Eric Church, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban, Jimmie Allen, Ingrid Andress, Little Big Town, Old Dominion and Kelsea Ballerini. Additionally, the show opener featured an all-star performance from Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Jenee Fleenor and Ashley McBryde paying tribute to the late Charlie Daniels.

Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker hosted “Country Music’s Biggest Night" which aired on Wednesday, November 11 on ABC.
