Christina Perri has been hospitalized as the singer/songwriter deals with complications from her pregnancy.
On Tuesday (November 10), Perri, 34, took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news with followers. She and husband, Paul Costabile, are currently expecting their second child after Perri suffered a miscarriage at the top of the year. After admitting that she had a "big long cry," Perri explained that "there's so much [she doesn't] know and understand and even more that [she] can't control."
In a follow-up Instagram Story, she offered insight into potentially delivering her child sooner than expected. "Hey, friends. Well, nothing ever goes as we plan," the star wrote via her Story. "Baby is having an issue, so I’m gonna be here till it’s time for baby to come out. Which might have to be very soon. Which is very early. Please send some love from your heart to the little heart beating in me that we all make it through this. I’m really grateful for this community. I’ll keep you guys updated, and hopefully everything is okay."
Thankfully, Perri's hospitalization didn't last long as she had good news in yet another post, admitting that she was being discharged on Wednesday night. "Hopefully, I can wait until my due date or nearby to have the baby and then deal with some things when the baby arrives," she explained, adding, "It's not perfect, but it's definitely good news for now."
Perri and Costabile are already parents to daughter, Carmella Costabile, 2.
