Joe Exotic's Husband Dillon Passage Arrested For DWI In Central Texas

The 25-year-old husband of Tiger King star Joe Exotic was arrested for DWI over the weekend in Central Texas.

Dillon Passage was arrested in Manor around 5 a.m. on Sunday. He's being held in the Travis County Jail on a driving while intoxicated charge and on a resisting arrest, search, or transport charge, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office website. Both are misdemeanors and he's being held on two $3,000 bonds.

Passage shared a video of him at a Saturday night event on Instagram, according to TMZ. Passage's husband, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, told the celebrity website “I’ve tried my hardest to get him to quit drinking. I love him."

"In regards to Dillon's recent troubles, I am just glad that no one was hurt learning such a lesson that drinking and driving is something to take very seriously," Maldonado-Passage wrote. "I love my husband and will be there for him, just as he has been for me. If we all learn something from this, it is not ok to be irresponsible and drink and drive."

Maldonado-Passage is still in prison serving a 22 year sentence after he was found guilty of conspiring to kill animal activist Carole Baskin.
