New Orleans singer Casmè will continue her journey on NBC's The Voice after winning the Battle Round in Monday night's show. She and teammate Rio Souma, both coached by John Legend, performed a soulful rendition of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need to Get By."
Casmè, who has been an entertainer for more than 20 years, was praised by all four coaches for her talent and stage presence.
"I think that you're one that everybody should be worried about, honestly," said Kelly Clarkson, who compared her to the legendary Diana Ross.
Coach John Legend had a tough choice when choosing the winner of the Battle Round, saying it was one of the best they have seen.
"I think this was the most thoroughly engrossing, joyful, well-put-together performance we've seen in the battles of any of the artists on any team," said coach John Legend. "It was just beautiful."
Ultimately, Legend chose Casmè as the winner of the Battle. She will now move on the Knock-Out Rounds of the show.
"Everyone loves Casmè," Legend said after choosing her as the winner. "Her energy is so infectious, she's so soulful and charming. Her presence on stage is just superstar quality."
