The City of San Antonio decked the halls and decorated the Christmas tree overnight.
The city continued putting the 10,000 holiday lights on the tree in Travis Park.
The preparation is ahead of the tree lighting ceremony on Friday, November 27th, which will be a little different this year amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The tree lighting ceremony for this year will be virtual. The lighting ceremony can be streamed on H-E-B's youtube channel at 7 p.m. on November 27th.
The lights will be turned on at 7:20 p.m. after a musical performance by Mariachi Las Altenas.
The tree is gifted annually by H-E-B. It is a concolor fir from Northern Michigan near Lake Michigan.
According to a press release from H-E-B, when the tree is finished, there will be more than 10,000 red, white, and blue lights as well as dozens of handmade decorations.
This is the fourth year that a tree will be displayed in Travis Park. It had been in front of the Alamo for over 30 years.
