One of Music City's favorite bakeries is finally reopened after being damaged in the March tornado. The Germantown location of Christie Cookie was severely damaged when the tornado swept through middle Tennessee. While the bakery itself was able to reopen after a few weeks, the storefront needed much more work.

While many could have felt despair following so much destruction, the cookie shop saw it as a chance to reset. They were able to remodel the space and make it almost double the size it was before and is modeled after the location on 12 South.

"We're excited to resume business right before the holiday season," said President Fleming Wilt. "It's time to spread cheer in our beloved Germantown. The expanded bakery is full of everyone's favorite cookies and other treats in our expanded bakery shop."

In addition to renovating the space, Christie Cookie's website received a redesign as well. Orders can be placed at anytime, and customers can even design their custom tin of 12-18 cookies. For more information, visit their website here.

Friday (December 4) is National Cookie Day. To celebrate, and to welcome back their customers, Christie Cookie will give out a free cookie with each purchase at both the Germantown and 12 South locations.
