Peoria firefighters helped to make a special delivery for one local woman on Christmas Day and it was not a typical package- it was the best gift of all.
The fire crews helped a young mother deliver her baby afters she was not able to make it to the hospital in time for the birth
She ended up giving birth right there inside of the fire engine, Fox 10 Phoenix reported.
The fire department posted a picture of the mom and baby on Twitter just moments after the birth.
The image shows three firefighters in masks next to the mother holding her newborn child wrapped in a towel. One firefighter is showing his excitement with a thumbs up.
The tweet read, "While most people are sleeping and waiting for Santa, the crew of Engine 191 & Rescue 191 made a Christmas delivery of their own."
The fire department mentioned that the mother and her child are doing well. "Congratulations, mom and baby are doing great," the tweet read.
