The new year is upon us, which means it's time for New Year's resolutions! The strange 2020 has taken a toll on Americans in some way. Some of us gained weight, had to cancel vacations and rarely left home due to lockdowns and quarantine. And that's not touching on the other wild events of this year. As a result, people's goals for 2021 may look different.
Zippia analyzed Google Trends to see what each state's residents are planning for this upcoming year. What about Oregon?
Well, for the Beaver State, people are looking to get better sleep. They're not alone in that department, either. Their neighbors in Washington want to catch some more quality z's along with Alaska and Kansas.
The most popular resolution in the nation is therapy. Zippia said 12 states, including Florida, New York and Arizona, listed this as their most searched plan, and the ever-popular weight loss came behind with eight states.
"[Seven] states want to quarantine and chill, judging from their searches for internet dating and dating advice," Kathy Morris, write of the article, said. South Dakota was the sole state to have this resolution: quit drinking.
Whether you're feeling optimistic or pessimistic, there's no harm in looking forward to a better year.
