Yet another Hollywood production is reportedly scheduled for filming in Massachusetts.

Showtime's revival of 'Dexter' is set to begin filming in Massachusetts later this month and continue in July, a source with knowledge of the situation reported to Boston.com.

The 10-episode limited series revival, which is scheduled to air in October, will primarily film in local Massachusetts towns west of I-495 including Gardner, Lancaster, Sterling and Worcester, the source confirmed.

Joshua Cormier, a film liaison and purchasing director in Gardner, also confirmed the city was in discussions during the past two-and-a-half months to host filming in various locations around town during the first half of 2021, but wouldn't share any additional details, Boston.com reports.

In 2018, Gardner was among the major filming locations for Hulu's Stephen King anthology series 'Castle Rock' and, according to Cormier, is looking to continue working with the film industry.

“The city of Gardner has always been very, very willing to work with the film industry,” Cormier said. “We’ve seen through the gamut of small and large productions, and each one provides an economic boost we wouldn’t see otherwise, which means a lot for small businesses, especially now.”

Showtime did not respond to Boston.com's request for confirmation as of January 5.

'Dexter' aired for eight seasons and 98 episodes from 2006 to 2013, earning 24 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including four consecutive nominations for Outstanding Drama Series (2008-11) and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Michael C. Hall, who played the show's titular main character, five consecutive times (2008-12).

Hall won the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series.
