A Las Vegas woman is now safe after she was kidnapped and held captive in Pahrump since March.
The victim, who is not identified, was being hidden in a building that was barricaded, had steel doors, and bars on the windows. The building also had security cameras and motion sensors, according to the Nye County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say a couple kidnapped the woman in March and forced the woman to do manual labor or be beaten. The couple also locked the woman inside the building and left her with little food and water for days on end.
No one heard from the victim until recently when she was able to contact her mother on Facebook. Authorities say she described where she was being held to her mother, who then called 911.
The woman was rescued on January 1 after authorities were able to find her based on what she told her mother.
On Tuesday, January 5, Henderson police located the couple believed to have kidnapped the woman. Keith Holman, 49, and Kristin Pfaff, 36, are facing charges of second degree kidnapping, false imprisonment, involuntary servitude and conspiracy. Holman is facing additional charges for firearm possession, KLAS reported.
