The Sundance Film Festival is the latest annual event that'll be held completely virtual in 2021.

The festival is typically held in Park City, but organizers wanted to move it to Los Angeles and host drive-in screenings. Due to California's COVID cases, anyone anywhere will be able to attend the festival as long as they have an internet connection. All 72 films, shorts, and documentaries will be online in the U.S.

Sundance will be held from January 28 to February 3, and tickets are already on sale on the festival's website. For movie buffs who want to "attend" every available screening and actor Q & A, festival passes are being sold for $350 while day passes are $75.

If you're interested in one or two films, you can purchase a $15 single film ticket. The festival is also offering a $100 award winners pass that'll give buyers on-demand access to 32 award-winning films starting February 3. There is also a $25 explorer pass for those who want to see indie and more experimental films.

Utah residents will also have access to special features, including a free screening of the YouTube-produced documentary "Life in a Day." The Salt Lake Film Society will also host online-only talks and events with Utah artists.
