Twenty One Pilots Fans Are Convinced The Band Is Teasing A New Era

Not to alarm anyone, but it looks like twenty one pilots could be dropping news about their next era at any given moment!

As usually, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun aren't telling us point-blank if new music is coming and, naturally, are making it a huge guessing game for fans — but we're still excited!

On Thursday (January 7), the band updated its header image on Twitter and Facebook and fans are freaking out.

In the new photo, Joseph and Dun have their backs turned amidst a red haze while looking at an empty venue and, in yellow, the band's logo is in the center. One update account for the band even found the exact image the guys used that was used to promote a Reddit AMA.

As many die-hard fans know, twenty one pilots always associate a color with each new era. Looking at the previous two albums, Blurryface has been associated with red and Trench with yellow making some theorize that the new era will be a combination of the two: orange.

“I think it might mean something. It's hard to imagine them randomly changing banners on all accounts at the same time,” one fan wrote on the new photo. Another said, “DOES THIS MEAN A NEW ALBUM IS COMING?”

While Dun and Joseph haven't given us too much info concerning new music, they have briefly updated fans with their writing and recording progress. In November, Dun said in an interview he doesn't have a "full solid answer" when new music is coming except “we're currently still working [on it].” Joseph took to his Instagram Story and simply wrote, “I'm working on the album.”
