NCAA Releases March Madness Preliminary Round Dates

Grab a calendar and start planning your days off because the NCAA released its schedule for March Madness.

As previously announced, the entire men's college basketball tournament will be held in Indiana, but 55 of the 67 games will be in Indianapolis.

Here's what the schedule looks like so far:

Sunday, March 14 - Selection Sunday

Thursday, March 18 - First Four

  • Mackey Arena in West Lafayette
  • Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington

March 19-20 - First Round

  • Mackey Arena in West Lafayette
  • Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington
  • Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
  • Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
  • Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis
  • Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis

March 21-22 - Second Round

  • Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
  • Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
  • Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis
  • Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis

March 27-28 - Sweet 16

  • Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
  • Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis

March 29-30 - Elite Eight

April 3 - Final Four

April 5 - National Championship

The Elite Eight, Final Four, and championship game will all be played at Lucas Oil Stadium. The NCAA will release game times and a TV schedule at a later date.

It has not yet been announced if fans will be allowed to attend games. The Indy Star reported that decision will likely be made in early February.
