The United States is known for the ever-changing demographics, and because the demographics change so much, so do patterns of wealth.
Some cities harbor more wealth than others, as do certain states and regions.
Forbes used data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2019 American Community Survey five year estimates to analyze the median household income and mean household income of about 30,000 cities, towns, villages, boroughs, Census-Designated Places in the United States.
The website states, "Combining these, we generated lists of the richest city and poorest city in each state were then identified."
So what are the richest and poorest cities in Nevada?
To ensure accuracy and focus on "cities", there was a 1,000-household minimum to be included in the richest and poorest cities lists.
According to the study, the richest city in Nevada is Incline Village. The median household income is $99,006 annually, and the mean household income is $159,591.
The poorest city in Nevada is Yerington. The median household income is $31,795 annually, and the mean household income is $45,162.
The richest city that had no minimum household number is Crystal Bay. The median household income is $177,167 annually, and the mean household income is $349,094.
The poorest city that had no minimum household number is Fort McDermitt. The median household income is $20,357 annually, and the mean household income is $33,848.
