Law enforcement officials have tracked down a suspected serial robber in Milwaukee who apparently couldn’t control his sweet tooth at a crime scene.
Rasheed Harris is federally charged in connection with allegedly robbing the Walgreens near 76th Street and Mill Road, among other drugstore chain locations.
Harris is accused of approaching the Walgreens cashier at the counter with a handgun and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. He allegedly demanded the clerk hand over all the cash in the register, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Then, Harris grabbed the cash, but left his cookies behind when he fled the scene. That’s how officers were able to use fingerprints to connect him to the crime, according to CBS 58.
Harris is also apparently connected to at least five other robberies, including at other Walgreens locations and other drugstore chains, including a CVS, police say.
Harris is charged with robbery and use of a firearm.
