Somehow between filming all of his upcoming movies and TV shows, Jared Leto has found the time to write new material for Thirty Seconds to Mars.

While chatting with Willie Geist of TODAY about his role in The Little Things, the actor/singer gave fans a much-needed update about new music.

“I had an opportunity to get really productive with music and wrote maybe 100 songs,” he revealed. When asked if that means we'll be getting a new album soon Leto didn't hesitate to say, “Oh yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I hope the world gets back to a place where we can go out and tour again… give people a little break from the madness.”

Thirty Seconds to Mars' last album was 2018's America and was the band's first album in five years. Hopefully, we won't actually have to wait that long for the follow-up!

In the interview, Leto even opened up about putting acting on pause all those years ago to start the band saying, “I turned down a Clint Eastwood movie to go make $250 a night on tour and I think that's when Hollywood knew, 'Oh, this guy's lost his mind.'”

Thankfully, it's safe to say the Oscar-winner got to have his cake and eat it too as both of his careers turned out just fine.

While we wait for new music, you can catch Leto reprising his Joker role in Zack Snyder's Justice League next month. Leto's revamped character also received a major makeover for the new film which you can check out here.
