This Colorado City Is One Of The Healthiest Places To Live In The U.S.

Keeping a healthy lifestyle can be difficult. Aside from money, resources, and healthcare which are all vital in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, it turns out location is another key factor.

WalletHub recently conducted a study that determined which areas prioritize residents' well-being the most. They took into consideration all of the ways a city can promote wellness like expanding access to nutritious food and recreational facilities, maintaining public parks, and affordable healthcare costs.

After comparing 180 of the most populated cities across 44 indicators of good health, WalletHub determined the healthiest and unhealthiest cities in America.

According to the study, Denver is one of the top 10 healthiest cities in the country.

Here is the top 10 list of healthiest cities:

  1. San Francisco, CA
  2. Seattle, WA
  3. Portland, OR
  4. San Diego, CA
  5. Honolulu, HI
  6. Washington, DC
  7. Austin, TX
  8. Irvine, CA
  9. Portland, ME
  10. Denver, CO

Other Colorado cities appeared further down the list. Colorado Springs and Aurora came in back to back at No. 54 and No. 55 respectively.

To determine which cities were the healthiest overall, WalletHub compared 182 cities across four key dimensions including 1) Health Care, 2) Food, 3) Fitness, and 4) Green Space.
